The Emerald Amicus is a 12-string, short scale, carbon fiber guitar with a pitch equivalent to a 6-string full length guitar capoed at the 10th fret. It has a mandolin quality to the sound. The strength of the carbon fiber permits tapping and percussive techniques without concern about damaging the instrument. "Ghost of Chance" explores the capabilities of the instrument with the exception of Track 4 which is played on an Emerald X10 6-string guitar tuned in the fourths.
